Job Description:
- Operate and maintain environmental and geotechnical drill rig.
- Collect soil samples and data using auger drilling, direct push and rock coring techniques.
- Create and maintain reports and logs of drilling activities.
- Installation of groundwater monitoring wells.
- Floating and transporting drilling equipment.
- Supervision of driller helper during drilling activities, following all industrial health and safety standards.
Requirements:
- Hard working, self-motivated and dependable with desire to learn.
- Positive attitude with focus on safe working habits.
- Basic mechanical skills and troubleshooting abilities, heavy equipment maintenance experience an asset.
- Ability to lift and carry 80+ pounds.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Periods of out of town travel will be required (expenses paid).
- High school diploma minimum requirement, college diploma with technical experience in civil engineering an asset.
- Must have clean driving record, ‘A’ License an asset.
- MOECC Licensed Well Technician experience is preferred. (Class 1, 2 or 3)
